More Kittens?
Day before yesterday AM brought home a new moma cat from the shelter. We thought she was probably pregnant but the poor thing was frightened and filthy. Cleaned her up as best we could without freaking her out and put her in the foster room to chill out. Poor thing cried and hid under the dresser most of the afternoon and next morning. I went in several times to visit and pat her. She loved the attention, purring and rubbing her chin on my hand but would not come out. At lunch yesterday I went in to visit and found her still under the dresser, but no longer crying. Wait, that's not her tail or feet... I gave her some pats and realized she was all wet. Unlike my morning visit she was no longer crying and was not alternately biting me and licking my hand where she'd bitten me. No wonder the poor thing was crying, she was in labor! I must have just missed delivery. She's still uncomfortable, tossing and turning, but the babies were actively feeding and she was grooming them. ...
