Udemy

My employer, EarthSoft Inc, used the online training site Udemy.com for it's product training program. As a consequence we have a corporate account entitling everyone in the company to deeply discounted training through the site's portal. When this was announced internally I perused the offered training and didn't really see anything to interest me. Or rather, everything I was interested in was below my skill level for that topic. That was a few years ago.

Internally, we've begun discussion about updating some of the tools we use. One we're looking at is updating from Angular JS to Angular 8 and Type Script. I confess, I know nothing about Type Script and could stand for a brush up on what's new in Angular 2+ so I stumbled back into Udemy for lunch last week. First thing I noticed is how much their catalog has expanded since I last looked. So I picked a couple quickie lectures at random. Both were not exactly what I expected while at the same time informative in unexpected ways. Fortunately, both were free to me so bonus! I'll have to pay closer attention to syllabi in the future but I will definitely spend more of my lunch hours with Udemy.com.

Just for fun, I think I'll post my "Certificates of Completion" here under the label EDU.
