Columbus Was Lost
It's yet another Columbus holiday and we're back camping at the old Crown Point camp ground now Strafford KOA. It's a good time for us to have a Thanks Giving supper before the holiday's set in and we all go off to our family Thanks Giving suppers et.al. Still amazes me that the United States celebrates our great hero, Christopher Columbus, Discoverer of America.
Let's face it. Columbus Was Lost!
He thought he was in the Spice Islands over by India.
He thought the Earth was half the size everyone else IN HIS TIME knew it to be.
The only person he could convince of his folly was a teen princess and I'm not entirely sure she didn't just give him some old scows they were planning to scrap just to get rid of this stalker.
"Wait, if I give you some ships you'll sail past Gibraltar into an ocean too big to sail across before you starve to death?.... Um... OK, Take those ships, they're my favorites."
